  6. License Agreement

  8. IMPORTANT--READ THE FOLLOWING LICENSE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE 
  9. INSTALLING AND/OR USING THE SOFTWARE.  
  10. By installing and/or using the software, you indicate your acceptance of 
  11. the following License Agreement ("Agreement").  If you do not agree to the 
  12. terms of this Agreement, promptly delete the software from your computer 
  13. and discontinue use of the software.

  16. You may:

  18.     Incorporate LEDDISP.VBX in your development environment.
  19.  
  20.     Freely distribute the LEDDISP.VBX dynamic link library file as a RUNTIME 
  21.     component of your applications.

  24. You may NOT:
  25.     modify any component of the software in any way;
  26.  
  27.     reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE except to 
  28.     the extent the foregoing restriction is expressly 
  29.     prohibited by local law;
  30.  
  31.     remove any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the program and 
  32.     accompanying documentation (including the help file);
  33.  
  34.     sell or resell LEDDISP.VBX and/or any of its accompanying componenents and 
  35.     documentation, by itself or as part of another package, except as a RUNTIME 
  36.     component of another application whose primary purpose is NOT 
  37.     illustration of the functionality of LEDDISP.VBX.

  40. Limitation of liability:

  42.     NO WARRANTIES.  TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 
  43.     SYNCOM, INC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED 
  44.     INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, 
  45.     FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  SYNCOM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY 
  46.     DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING DIRECT,INDIRECT, LOST PROFITS OR 
  47.     INFORMATION, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS, EVEN IF 
  48.     SYNCOM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.  
  49.     BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF 
  50.     LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE 
  51.     LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

  53.     The SOFTWARE and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS.  Use, 
  54.     duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions 
  55.     as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and 
  56.     Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and 
  57.     (2) of the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights 
  58.     at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as applicable.

  64. Registration:
  65.     If you would like to register your LED Display custom control, please 
  66.     refer to the registration section in the accompanying help file.  
  67.     Registration grants you an unlimited, non-exclusive license to 
  68.     distribute the registered version of the control with your application. 
  69.     The registered version does not display the initial registration 
  70.     dialog box.  Additionally, registration will entitle you to notices 
  71.     of updates to this product as well as 90 days free 
  72.     product support (via facsimile).

  74.     Compuserve Members may register this software package in the Software 
  75.     Registration forum (GO SWREG).  The registration and license fee will 
  76.     be added to your CompuServe bill.  The registration number for 
  77.     the LED DISPLAY VBX is 3766.
